Making the Most of the New Year

It's 2020, y'all! Another year has begun.

Many of you are probably reflecting on the past year, thinking about resolutions, and dreaming of positive changes in the year ahead. Perhaps you plan to make a large purchase, begin a new job or business, start a family, chase a dream, or make your mark on the world. These are normal and healthy thoughts in general. You have to know where you're going before you can get there. But what happens when these thoughts become overwhelming?

For some of us, our hope for improvement is quickly overtaken by fear of failure. Our reminiscing turns into pangs of regret. Instead of a calendar, we see a clock ticking toward the end of our opportunities. Panic ensues. "Is this all there is?" we ask ourselves. "Why am I here?"

Where do you turn when these questions arise?

What if I told you you have a team of guides just waiting for you to hear them. They stand by, ready to assist at any moment, and send you signals and signs often to help you stay on course with your purpose. They understand that as humans, we have been trained since birth to ignore them by well-meaning parents, friends, mentors, leaders--basically anyone you interact with. Each generation forgets their divine connection and gifts the next generation with the same (mis)guidance.

How do you learn to listen?

Here are a few quick tips to help you tune into the signs your guides are providing for you:

  1. Pay attention. This seems simple, but in this time of high-tech multi-tasking filled with constant stimulation, how often do you truly tune it out and really pay attention to the world around you? You'd be surprised how many patterns and coincidences you will begin to observe when you really open your eyes. Look for things like repeating numbers or visiting creatures that give you a special feeling.

  2. Quiet your mind. Take a few moments each day to be still. The concept of meditation can be a daunting one, but it doesn't have to be. Set a goal to close your eyes and focus on your breathing for just one minute, and slowly work your way to more.

  3. Ask for guidance. Set an intention to receive a signal from your guides about a specific question and say it out loud. Choose a symbol and tell your guides what it would mean to you if you were presented with it. Then watch for your sign.

  4. Find a Spiritual Coach. Partnering with someone who can assist you with connecting to your guides can be an invaluable experience. They can walk you though ways to open your heart and mind and provide you answers from your Spirit Team to the burning questions you have as you embark on a new journey this year.

Regardless what you choose, I wish you a fantastic New Year filled with joy and abundance! Here's to making a splash in the year ahead!

I would love to hear from you with your experiences using the tips above. Please connect with me here or on facebook or instagram and let me know your thoughts!

Many blessings!
